If you are considering airbnb hosting the first question you need to ask yourself is… are you naturally good with people? You must love meeting new people from all nationalities and backgrounds and be genuinely interested in them. To date we are so proud to have hosted guests from Thailand, Hawaii, Russia, Israel, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and all over in the USA and most of our neighbours; Germany, Switzerland, Finland, France, Portugal, Holland, Italy, Poland, England and Ireland (many a time of course)
I understand that for many wannabe hosts they need to pursue the likes of airbnb for monetary reasons and that’s exactly why we did it. You also need to have that great space; whether its a room/ apartment / house to offer / even tree-houses are good with airbnb so if you have that suitable accommodation go for it, you have nothing to lose….but make sure you are organised and prepared.
How wonderful it is to make new acquaintances and friends and this to us is our full time job these days. With that in mind we are pretty damn lucky! There is no other way that we would of met and got to know all these amazing people from all across the world in such a relatively short space of time any other way! One thing that we have noticed is so evident with our airbnb guests is that it attracts a certain type of person, they all have one thing in common……
They love to travel
Travel is more affordable and easier with low cost airlines and now airbnb.
Many people from all walks of life are on a budget and that’s very evident in these recessionary times. This makes airbnb a very attractive option for people and it will only get more talked about, more popular and the sooner you step on board and be part of its success as a host the better for you!!
